What file types can I upload?

CSV, TSV, TXT, and Excel files (.xls, .xlsx). If your software exports it — Shopify, HubSpot, QuickBooks, Stripe, your bank, whatever — you can drop it directly into DataWhisperer.

Do I need to clean or format my file first?

No. Drop the raw export exactly as it came out of your software. Column names and data types are detected automatically, and every Brief includes a data-quality note that flags gaps or messy columns — so you know how solid the numbers are before you quote them.

Is my data safe? Is it used to train AI?

Your file stays in your account. It is never sold and never used to train public AI models, and you can export or permanently delete everything at any time from your account settings.

How do I know the AI isn't making up numbers?

Because the numbers don't come from the AI. Every figure is computed by real code running against every row of your file — the AI only explains what the computed numbers mean. Each claim ships with its receipt (the exact figures behind it), and on Pro you can see the Python code that produced every number.

Do I need to know formulas, Python, or SQL?

No. No formulas, no VLOOKUP, no pivot tables to build. You ask in plain English — 'which region dragged down Q4?' — and get the computed answer back in plain English. The Python that appears on the Pro plan is a receipt you can show people, not something you write.

Can it make charts from my data?
